If you’re reading this, you probably own, manage, or work at a small business. Hey, us too! So, happy National Small Business Week to all of us. We hope you had a great one.
So, what is National Small Business Week all about? We found this on the official website:
For more than 50 years, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.
The U.S. Small Business Administration is the government entity in charge of National Small Business Week. More than a simple declaration, the week includes multiple events, awards, and a two-day conference.
We would not be here without small businesses. TAZ Networks has always focused on helping small businesses manage their computer networks. In fact, that’s why Tavis started the business back in 2003. He knew that small businesses that were large enough to need a server also needed professionals to help them manage their emerging networks.
Although we’re focusing on a slightly-larger business model than when we started (15 and up, versus 5 and up), TAZ Networks remains dedicated to service the unique needs of small businesses in southeast Michigan.
Good job, everyone. We’ll continue to be here to support your technology needs.
